EARLY MARRIAGE

Early marriage refers to any form that takes place before a child has reached teenager. Most of the parents believe that getting married in early age can avoid bad things to occur. There are many reasons to disagree early marriage such as the fact of  lack of education, experiences an emotional adversity and girls that marry at young age are often alienated from society.

The first reason to argue against early marriage is related to lack of education. It is important to have education in order to survive for the future. Without education the girls will have to  endure the difficulties in life and rarely get opportunities to develop as an individual successful person.

The second reason to argue against early marriage is girls experiences an emotional adversity. From the point of birth, girls are made to think that their only job in life is to get married and to have children. Being forced to  marry someone can often create unhappiness in both the male and female. If they are unhappy with each other then the relationship can turn into an abusive relationship, causing more problems to become worse. Sometimes the girls cannot tolerate the abuse from her husband so she ends up committing suicide or run away from her husband. More often, the girl will run away and find a distant relative to live with. When the girl runs away from her husband it brings shame upon the family and the family disconnect the relationship with the girl in order to avoid embarrassment.

Lastly, the third reason against early marriage is girls that marry young age are often alienated from society, leaving them alone in life with no friends. A girl’s status is very low compared to a male’s social status because girls were never looked upon as something great. Girls always had to work harder and received less food than the males. When a girl become ill, it was much harder for her to receive an immunization whereas a male gets sick and he receives  an immunization immediately. A lot of times the husband is very abusive and is not friendly to the girl. Many girls die from these premature relationships. Getting pregnant at a young age is also a problem for the girl because her body has not fully matured.

Even though there are many reasons to against early marriage, but some other people might argue that early marriage prevents bad things to happen in order to avoid embarrassment to the family. In current years families have realized that young marriage are not good for children. However, based on the discussed arguments, I strongly believe  that girls should not get married at young age due to the fact of lack of education, experiences an emotional adversity and girls that marry young age are often alienated from society.
